We are small team in the marine industry in Tauranga, who are searching for an experienced, flexible, marine (DC) electrician, with AC experience being a significant advantage, to join the team, and help us to hum
With an overnight increase in work flowing in, the owner needs another crew member to assist with the workload. We are open to discussing what might work for both of us, between 20-40 hours.
What we are looking for An efficient team member, who takes pride in their work, and is predominantly independent, but who knows when to ask the right questions, when at a crossroads.A background in DC electrical work, with marine experience ideal, with RV and off-grid experience welcomed.Someone with a keen interest in this space, who is technologically capable, and keeps up with the latest products and software advances.Maybe someone who owns a boat, or motorhome, or off-grid property themselves, who understands the intricacies of this sort of work.You could be an ex-AC Electrician looking for a (slight) change of pace, but who would value a bit more flexibility than they may have in their current role. Someone with a good sense of humour will be required with this teamWhat You Need To Have A passion for the marine environment.Excellent diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.The ability to work independently.A commonsense approach to your work.A clean, full New Zealand Drivers Licence.What Can We Offer A great boss who is high vibe, and likes to create a positive, welcoming work environment.A great location with a sea view from the office, and from most of your jobsSome flexibility if you need to be elsewhere with a bit of notice.You get to work on some cool boats and off-grid projectsVehicle to use during work hours.Product training, we specialise in Victron products (any current experience with these systems would be great)Paid day off on your birthday.If this sounds like you, please apply with a Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae.
