Stonefields School is seeking a passionate sports facilitator to help increase participation and involvement in PE and sports activities at Stonefields School. This role will be part-time (0.4-0.5 FTTE).
This role involves:
Understanding the Sport and PE vision and goals for Sport and PE at Stonefields School e.g. to increase further team sports offerings to enter seasonal competitions in codes such as hockey, Touch rugby and basketball across a range of year levels.
Embrace opportunities and partner with parents to manage and coach our growing number of teams.
Overseeing and coordinating the sports calendar with the Sport Administrator.
Leading the organisation of major whole school sport events e.g Athletics Day, along with the Sport and PE village enthusiasts.
Proactively coordinating who is responsible for each inter school activity and support trials and practices in readiness for each event.
To coordinate and liaise with Sport administrator to ensure timely communication and preparation for sporting events.
Manage PE monitors and oversee the PE shed.
Manage PE budget and purchase where required, including oversight of budgets for transporting and cost of events.
Overall oversight and organisation of AIMs. Work collaboratively with parents to support team set up, fundraising etc.
Role model and champion active participation in PE and sport opportunities.
Liaise with Sport Auckland and Active Schools to support teachers capability to integrate learning design and implement the PE curriculum.
To provide an overview of PE skills to be covered across a year.
Coordinate and liaise with Kiwisport providers to ensure quality opportunities are provided for our learners.
