About The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Sleep Clinical Nurse Specialist as part of our multi-disciplinary Sleep Service based at Rotorua Hospital.
Responsibilities include providing specialist nursing care to patients with adult sleep disordered breathing conditions. You will be highly proficient in coordinating the regular review and ongoing management of care to existing and new patients receiving respiratory therapy for sleep disordered breathing conditions within the outpatient service and community, while also providing advice/assistance with the management of these patients when admitted to hospital. You will work closely with medical, nursing and sleep physiology professionals to provide optimal care underpinned by evidence-based best practice guidelines to ensure positive outcomes in this group of patients.
As a senior nurse, you will have a responsibility toward improving the quality of professional nursing practice and supporting an environment in which excellence in clinical care can flourish.
- Part time, permanent two days/week Monday-Friday
The successful applicant will have:
- Current APC with the NZ Nursing Council
- Minimum 5 years of post-registration experience with PG qualifications
- A high level of skills and knowledge in the diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Salary range
$116,040 to $127,674 pro-rated to hours worked
