to midwifery? Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand (Nelson
Marlborough), formerly NMDHB, are keen to discuss with you, the pathway to return to midwifery. We can help you to regain your APC and we
want to encourage you to rejoin our workforce as a valued member of our team.
Roles
can be full-time, part-time or casual, based in Nelson, Marlborough or Tasman
- within the community, or at one of the maternity units in Wairau (Blenheim) or
Nelson hospitals.
There
are so many opportunities to explore as a midwife - not only in clinical roles,
but specialist roles, education, research, locuming around New Zealand,

There
are four entry points according to the time you have been out of practice. These are for people who have been out of the

**profession**:

- for up to 3 years
- for 3-5 years
- for 5-10 years
- for over 10 years. Each

timeframe has certain requirements to be met by the Midwifery Council, but once
satisfied, you will be able to continue your practice. The return to practice
programme has a great mix of learning online, clinical practice experience
whilst fully supported by a clinical midwifery coach and midwifery
educator. We have had quite a few
midwives recently complete their return to practice who can also give you some
great tips and support too.
We
will work with you to meet the Midwifery Council requirements to secure your
APC. We look forward to hearing from
you and welcoming you back into the most rewarding career.
