We are looking for a Qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Ashburton. This is an exciting and varied opportunity working within an experienced team who are all passionate about the health and wellbeing of the Canterbury community.

Pharmacy services across Waitaha are provided by a positive, friendly and inclusive team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants and administrative staff. We pride ourselves on delivering an outstanding service in collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team.

The role is varied, and as a key member of a small team you will have the opportunity to participate in many aspects of pharmacy practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic leader with a good work ethic, enjoys working as part of a team, has excellent interpersonal skills and a strong desire to learn. Formal leadership experience is preferred but not mandatory.

**Ko wai koe | About You**

Key tasks include:

- Responsibility as the day-to-day Charge Pharmacist for the purposes of the License to Operate a Pharmacy
- Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, New Zealand Pharmacy Standards and accepted good practice
- Being an active member of the Pharmacy Services Leadership Team
- Development and review of procedures and training material
- Provision of a full clinical pharmacy service including medication reconciliation, therapeutic drug monitoring and answering medicines information enquiries.
- Involvement in interdisciplinary education
- Supervision, training and support of technicians, interns and students
- Medication supply including dispensing and cytotoxic ordering

**Ngā pūkenga mengā wheako | Skills and Experience**
- Qualified Pharmacist who is NZ registered or with the ability to obtain a New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate
- A minimum of 5 years post-registration experience preferably within a hospital setting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience leading a team and fostering a positive work culture
- Experience in navigating and supporting a team through periods of change
- Post-graduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy or leadership is desirable
