**Job Description**:
**MISSION**
As Hotel Engineer of our five star boutique hotels, you will be a hands-on leader for the upkeep of our hotel assets.
Responsible for the planning and implementation of all preventative maintenance, the strategic oversight of property-related projects, and the regular reporting of building performance metrics.
Reporting to the General Managers, this role is dynamic, challenging and will suit the most meticulous and organised of people.

**SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF THIS ROLE**
Expectations and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Engineering-based technical expertise & experience with building assets;
- An understanding of contract management;
- Project management experience.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of NZ legislation pertaining to Health & Safety, Building Compliance, Fire Safety & Security;
- An interest in reducing energy consumption and pursuing spearheading (or suitable other word for leading) green initiatives;
- Competency with computer software including Microsoft Office.
- Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, partners and key stakeholders.
