**The Organisation**
This organisation is a leading New Zealand and Australian business who specialise in industrial services, with a fleet of vehicles servicing their customer base.

As they continue to grow and expand their footprint throughout New Zealand, and beyond, they are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Partner to join the team and provide operational guidance around best practice whilst also delivering the overall strategy across NZ.

**The Role**
You will play a pivotal hands-on role in driving a culture focused on first class safety, quality and environment through coaching and development across all levels of the organisation. This will be achieved by partnering with the business to develop a culture that encourages accountability and collaboration. In addition, you will be required to maintain an integrated management system and implement proactive initiatives and programs.

More specifically you will include:

- Build and maintain a trusted partnership and coaching relationships with the Operations teams to drive the implementation of agreed safety initiatives and strategies
- Provide expert and relevant safety advice and support the State GM and leadership teams on strategies to embed safety leadership, initiatives, culture and improved standards in the workplace
- Assist National HSE Manager to define the reporting metrics and scorecards
- Monitor and report on incident investigations ensuring a consistent approach is applied across the region and escalation processes are adhered to
- Lead the development of effective control environments for the region
- Develop and steer consistency and alignment in the provision of quality and consistent safety advice and support
- Design bespoke safety initiatives/interventions when required to generate improved safety outcomes across the organisation
- Educate and coach leadership teams about the Safety strategy and work plan to ensure there is appropriate commitment and support to enable its execution

**About Success**
The successful individual will be inspirational, resilient and most importantly be able to influence without authority. You will have demonstrable experience of working within a Health and Safety role within ideally a high-risk blue-collar environment. With exceptional communication skills, you will have the ability to partner closely with the business to drive the change required.

You will also possess:

- Qualifications in Safety or similar preferably a diploma or higher
- Working knowledge of Safety policies and legislation
- Relevant experience in training and coaching at various levels of an organisation.

Travel is required from time to time across the country when business needs requires it.
