Night Porter

**Description**:
Are you a night owl? We are looking for a capable and energetic professional to join Novotel Tainui Hamilton in the position of Night Porter.

In this role, you will assist in the day to day/overnight operations of the front office department including lobby services and security functions, ensuring that standards are maintained in these areas and customer’s needs met. You will need to have passion for hospitality, and the willingness to go the extra mile for our guests.

**Responsibilities**
- Support Night Audit/ Night Manager in the daily reports requirements
- Transfer, storage and handling of guest luggage and property
- Park and retrieve cars in a safe manner as part of the hotels valet service
- Exercise care and responsibility when parking guest vehicles. Follow procedures set out in manual.
- Ensure messages are delivered with the utmost urgency.
- Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidenitality and safety
- Prepare and deliver room service during the night
- Support with any Housekeeping requests received afterhours

**Work Experience**
- Pleasant and friendly with excellent communication skills
- Be reliable, punctul and committed
- Ability to respond to emergencies effectively and calmly
- Strong computer skills (previous experience in Opera and advantage)
- Be able to work 11pm - 7.30am over a 7 day rotating roster including weekends
- Clean police record
- Full Driver’s License
