Laboratory Scientist - Biochemistry | Hawke's Bay Hospital | Full-Time (1.0FTE)

**About the Role**

As a Laboratory Scientist in the Biochemistry department, you will be responsible for:

- Performing high-quality diagnostic testing in a busy laboratory environment.
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of samples to support clinical decision-making.
- Maintaining quality control and adhering to laboratory protocols and accreditation standards.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible patient outcomes.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and contributing to service improvement initiatives.

**About the Team/Service/ Location**

Our Biochemistry team is a vital part of the Hawke’s Bay Hospital Laboratory, providing critical diagnostic services to the region. You will be joining a supportive and experienced team dedicated to excellence in patient care and laboratory science.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Hold a relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Science and be registered (or eligible for registration) with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand.
- Have experience in Biochemistry or a related field.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Work effectively in a team and communicate well with colleagues and clinical staff.
- Be adaptable and open to continuous learning and development.
