Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking to offer secondments or fixed term contracts to interested parties to perform this role whilst we focus on intensive recruitment in OPRS.
The Registered Nurse (RN) clinical coach will be responsible for promoting and providing targeted and planned point of care clinical education and coaching for an identified individual nurse, nursing cohort or team.
You will support orientation requirements, preceptors and learners practice, ensuring that mandatory training requirements are met, providing coaching for the maintenance of safe and competent practice of the RN and EN.
You will work across AM & PM hours, alongside the nurse(s) to maximise education and coaching opportunities.

The Older Person & Rehabilitation Service (OPRS) at Hutt Hospital consists of two wards (East) (West). The Multidisciplinary team is made up of a Clinical Nurse Manager, Associate Clinical Nurse Managers, Nurse Educators, Medical Specialists and various Allied Health professionals.
We provide assessment, treatment, rehabilitation & discharge planning for people of all ages 16 years and over who have experienced stroke, fractures, amputations, reconditioning post-surgery and falls. We also provide Older Persons Mental Health Service, complex discharge planning palliative care and comprehensive geriatric assessment and treatment.

We are seeking expressions of interests from Registered Nurses who have a passion for preceptorship and developing nurses.
You will be familiar with working with Older People, Rehabilitation focussed care and Mental Health conditions. You may be looking for part time hours or additional hours to supplement your current role.
