Te tūranga - The role As a Director of Prudential Policy and member of the Leadership Team cohort within Te Pūtea Matua, you will lead and work collaboratively with Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and your peers. You will provide strategic direction to the directorate and Financial Stability Group (FSG) Management team. As part of this role, you will:

- Lead prudential policy advice and research and provide advice on specific financial stability policy settings across banks, non-bank deposit takers, insurers and financial market infrastructures.
- Oversee recommendations on prudential policy to the Financial Stability Committee (FSC).
- Promote wider thought-leadership on financial stability policy and research and contribute to communications that build public understanding of Te Pūtea Matua's function.

This is a critical role that ultimately commands excellent leadership credentials, innovation, integrity and inclusiveness. Ō pūkenga - About you You will be both adaptable and strategic in your thinking and your explanation of technical information is second to none. You are an expert in your field and understand and embody the perfect mix of both people and technical leadership. To be successful in this role, you will:

- Operate as a role model of Te Pūtea Matua's values and be able to develop, empower and motivate our people to perform at their best.
- Develop a strategically aligned business plan to implement, ensuring there are sufficient resources and focus to deliver on the strategic priorities.
- Enable effective collaboration and teamwork with ELT members and other Directors on cross-bank initiatives.
- Have experience presenting to and fostering strong relationships at Board level.
- Have experience leading a regulatory or policy advice function with strong processes and frameworks.
