Decontamination Technician

**The role will include, but not limited to**:

- Reading and understanding the Scope of Work and Meth Levels
- Complying with safe operating procedures, e.g. safe use of cleaning products, and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Recording Power Meter readings before the commencement of work and again at the completion of work
- Picking up contaminated refuse and other waste including drug paraphernalia
- Be involved in the deconstruction of dwellings as directed
- Removing and making unusable and disposing of contaminated refuse, chattels, fixed items, and household items
- Removing contaminated insulation
- Uplifting contaminated carpets
- Installing and removing air movers and scrubbers
- Keeping all workspaces and vehicles clean and tidy
- Loading trailers in preparation for the job
- Other duties may be reasonably required by the employer.

**Job pre-requisites**:

- A NZ full driver’s licence is required
- Strong work ethic and reliable
- A good level of physical fitness.
- Excellent organisational, and time management skills & attention to detail.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to deal with sensitive situations, display discretion and always maintain confidentiality.

Hourly Rate Range: $29.66-$30.00

Location: Palmerston North

Working hours：30-40 hours per week
