Would you like to develop your teaching and supervision skills?

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior Occupational Therapist to take on a role for the planning, co-ordination, continuous improvement of, and access to student placement and education for Occupational Therapy. This role also contributes to the development of interprofessional learning opportunities for students and the development, coordination & delivery of entry to practice programmes at Counties Manukau District for Allied Health Scientific and Technical professions.

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with well-established clinical knowledge and skills. Previous experience of supervising staff and students is preferable. Familiarity with Occupational Therapy tertiary education programmes and interprofessional education is an advantage, although not essential.

**Essential**:

- NZ Registered with OT Board with current practising certificate
- Minimum of 4 years clinical experience in range of clinical settings
- Minimum of 2 years’ occupational therapy fieldwork supervision experience
- Highly developed communication skills and cultural awareness
- Ability to work co-operatively with a wide range of people
- Passion for student education & Occupational Therapy

**Desired**:

- Clinical teaching qualification
- Familiarity with the Occupational Therapy curriculum
- Knowledge of interprofessional education
- Completion of Supervision/preceptorship training
