Checkpoint Operator

Our client is on the lookout for a Checkpoint Operator to join their Team Working 9 months of the Year with 3 months paid leave

**POSITION PURPOSE**

To ensure all pallets arriving at the wharf pass through the clients Checkpoint operations process and the outcomes are managed according to specification.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITES**
- Checkpoint pallets
- Advise Suppliers of Checkpoint errors.
- Process checkpoint errors and support resolution.
- Reconcile shipments once an order is completed
- Checkpoint administration

**CRITICAL TASKS**

**Checkpoint pallets**
- All pallets are checkpointed to ensure product meets all requirements and specifications.
- Ensure trucks are processed efficiently with no unnecessary waiting time.

**Process checkpoint errors**
- The container is to be held at the checkpoint until either the error is corrected or the decision is made to return the container to the originating coolstore.
- All pallets that error must be rescanned prior to being loaded.
- For all pallets or containers being returned a “Return to Coolstore” form filled will be completed by the checkpoint operator.

**Checkpoint Administration**
- DSM reports run as required.
- Check envelope details and file in vessel order.

- Background in shipping, cargo or ship loading procedures.

**ON OFFER**
- Working 9 Months of the Year and having 3 months off in Summer

- Alternating weeks Week 1 6am-1pm, Week 2 12pm-7:30pm
