As a Yardperson at CARTERS Kapiti, your role is all about delivering exceptional service to our trade customers in a timely, professional and safe manner. In this fast-paced physical role, you will be driving a forklift and servicing our customers within our timber yard store areas. Your strong work ethic and desire to learn will be beneficial as you look after the local trade community by:

- Meeting and greeting customers
- Quickly and efficiently picking, assembling, and loading orders
- Processing sales documentation
- Loading and offloading vans and delivery trucks
- Stock Management, tidying shelves and stock counts as part of stocktake

This is a full time 40 hour a week fixed term until July 5 - with the opportunity for this person to move to our new Levin branch, in a permanent position, when it opens in July.
Your ability to therefore transfer from our Kapiti branch to the new Levin branch will be beneficial to CARTERS and someone looking for a permanent role.

- Entry-level computer skills
- Physically fit
- A valid FULL NZ Driver's License is Essential
- Having a forklift license is preferred (possessing F endorsement & OSH Certificates are advantageous).
- Prior experience in a comparable yard environment is preferred.
- Having knowledge of the building industry is beneficial.
