***Your Opportunity**

**Global Express is looking for dedicated and motivated Owner Driver(s) who enjoy a fast paced and diverse environment.**

**After 30 years, our existing Owner Driver is set to retire and the (Palmerston North to) Whanganui region is looking for a new superhero to take on the mantle.**

**Whanganui is a great, vibrant region, with growth opportunities through a reputation of great customer service.**

**The work could be split amongst many operators, although a ‘one stop shop’ offers contingencies for the region.**

**The opportunity / opportunities require**:

- **Class 5 Truck and Trailer (both with Mezz Floors)**:

- **6x4 Delivery vehicle with Tail Lift**:

- **Parcel Delivery Van (large size preferrable).**:

- **The potential for a second Class 5 Truck and Trailer exists, depending upon the mix of vehicles offered.**

**If you're an exceptional individual that works with urgency, who has a passion for the Transport industry and will help us deliver excellent Transport service to all our customers, then you could be one of the next Owner Driver to come on board**

**What you’ll bring to this role**

**To be successful in this role, you could have the following experience**:
**Duties & responsibilities**
- **Load and unload freight safely by hand, or with forklift when required**:

- **Ensure freight is handled without damage**:

- **Scan all freight. If you touch it, scan it**:

- **Deliver and pickup on time and in full - DIFOT.**:

- **Actively participate in all safety processes and procedures**:

- **Always operate your vehicle in a safe and legal manner**:

- **Take pride in your vehicle by always keeping it clean and tidy - inside and out**

**Skills & Experience**
- **Customer-focused attitude**:

- **Competence to own and operate a business including basic accounting knowledge**:

- **Ownership, or ability to obtain a late model van**:

- **Clear communication and teamwork skills**:

- **Full NZ drivers Licence relevant to the vehicle(s) you are wishing to offer into the workstream**:

- **GST Registration**:

- **DG Licence & OSH Forklift certifications are beneficial but not essential**:

- **Prior transport delivery experience in Whanganui & Palmerston North would be advantageous but not essential.**
