Remuneration offered for the Governance Manager and Executive Services position will be based on the skills and experience you bring, as a guide the band range is $134,134 (100%)
- $153,654 (115% of band) + superannuation.

Te tūnga | The role
The Manager Governance and Executive Services position requires an experienced leader where your people are your priority and are aware of this first and foremost, that you are a "people leader". You'll provide your people with the context and then empower them to do their best work.
In this position you will lead the Governance Framework that supports the executive-level decision making at Stats NZ. You will provide expert advice and strategic support to the Chief Executive, Government Statistician, Executive Leadership team, and the wider organisation on governance best practice. You'll coach, develop, and manage a team of senior advisors and principal advisor, to perform at the highest professional standards.
The position sits within the Office of the Chief Executive, where you'll be part of a high performing leadership team, driving successful outcomes for Stats NZ.

You're someone who enjoys being kept on their toes and is comfortable leading through and supporting your staff to deliver within ambiguity. You understand where established practices are a necessity, but equally, where there is scope to challenge, innovate, and try something new. You will bring extensive people leadership and coaching experience. It is also advantageous if you bring expert knowledge of governance best practice and the ability to use your experience to provide strategic advice to senior leaders at pace. You're known for building strong and effective working relationships internally and externally and have a reputation as someone who can 'get things done' while maintaining a strategic perspective.
