Are you ready to take your payroll career to the next level with a successful global business? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? We have a great opportunity for an experienced and positive team player to join our HR team as a Payroll Specialist.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Comprehensive Payroll Management**: Take full responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across our four legal entities in New Zealand, working with approximately 400 employees
- **Varied Payroll Processing**: Manage payroll for diverse teams, including waged, variable hours employees, retainer commission sales reps, and salaried staff, using various time and attendance solutions
- **Collaborative Environment**: Work closely with HR, finance, and the wider business to ensure processes are efficient and improvements are implemented
**What We’re Looking For**: To excel in this role, you should have:
- **Extensive Payroll Experience**: At least 3 years of end-to-end payroll experience in a large organisation, covering all aspects of payroll preparation and execution
- **Data Accuracy**: Highly developed skills in data accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail
- **Legislative Knowledge**: Up-to-date knowledge of relevant payroll legislation
- **Complex Payroll Management**: Experience managing multiple employment agreements, pay structures, and concurrent pay-runs
- **Customer Service Orientation**: A passion for delivering exceptional service and fostering a strong team culture
- **Professionalism**: Unwavering professionalism, efficiency, and a positive attitude
- **Communication**: Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate to stakeholders of all levels
- **Software**: Experience in Datacom (desirable) and strong skills within MS Suite
