**The Opportunity**

We are looking for someone to bring their financial expertise and commercial acumen to join our Finance Leadership team and play a critical role across our global Finance manufacturing functions. You’ll quickly need to gain a deep understanding of our global and regional business strategy for Gallagher manufacturing and Supply chain business - this will allow you to provide highly relevant insights into business performance and make exceptional decisions.

The role reports through to the CFO, however you will also be considered part of the Manufacturing Leadership team. With dual skill sets in financial management, exceptional commercial understanding and critical thinking you will act as a key financial adviser to the group executive of supply chain and manufacturing and wider leadership team.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support decision making through modelling, analysis, inquiry, challenge, generating options and providing advice on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions, including optimising manufacturing to optimise manufacturing performance (standard cost, manufacturing recovery, labour and capital requirement) vs impact on inventory levels/stock turns/delivery performance
- Lead Manufacturing’s planning, reporting and forecasting process for the global business unit, translating strategy into financial targets and tactical plans (incl. sales, operational, workforce planning and capital requirements)
- Understand business and group context and key drivers in depth (e.g., rise in shipping costs, product issues from suppliers, group and divisional sales), keeping senior leadership and other relevant stakeholders well informed.
- Build financial acumen and commercial skills across the business, including risk/reward decision making and value management
- Providing analysis and delivering insights that links financial reports to business strategies

**To be successful in this role you need**:
Accounting qualifications - CA, CPA or CIMA qualified or Master level degree. 10+ years of proven finance business lead/partner experience from a global company, preferably with tech/manufacturing/supply chain experience.
- Proven experience in finance business partnering or commercial finance at a senior level
- Extensive experience in leading business planning and performance management processes including assessing business growth and investment opportunities
- Experience within a complex manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills, highly numerate and proven to be details oriented
- Experience of effectively managing and developing a high-performance team (globally based)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt communication style to explain financial information to non-financial staff concisely
