If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you We are currently seeking a talented Protection and Control Engineer to join our team.

**The Role**:
As the Protection and Control Engineer, you will be a key member of our Substations Engineering Team. Reporting directly to the Stations Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the concept design, operation, and design standards for Northpowers protection and control systems.

**You’ll also**:

- Manage the preparation and review of protection and control schemes design and settings.
- Ensuring resilience and risk management at acceptable levels.
- Fault diagnostic and event analysis post Network incidents to verify protection and control scheme performance.
- Providing technical expertise on protection and control requirements
- Develop and maintain protection and control design and maintenance standards.
- Support the Asset Lifecycle Team in developing, maintaining, and implementing the protection asset lifecycle strategy

**What you bring to the role**:

- An appropriate tertiary-level qualification or equivalent
- 5+ years of industry experience in protection and control engineering
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
- Competency in auditing, root cause analysis, and risk management
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
