This is a great career move for an intermediate Garment Tech to join one of New Zealand’s leading fashion/apparel companies.

Utilizing your offshore production experience, strong communication skills and technical garment knowledge you will be completing garment specifications and sample prototypes while in liaison with the Merchandise Manager. You will ensure the sample approval process runs smoothly and accurately, with garments made to the agreed specifications and quality levels. To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role you will need working knowledge of garment specifications, grading and garment fits.

**The Role**:

- To create and maintain fit standards which are managed by developing specification and grade rules, as well as give technical and engineering support to the merchandise/designer and external suppliers/factories.
- To ensure timely, effective and accurate communication of technical information between customers, colleagues and suppliers / factories that enables the produced garments to meet the required standards of design, fit and quality.
- Liaise with team in relation to quality issues, production status, fabric and garment inspection reports as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to draw using computer software.
- Relevant qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills and off-shore production knowledge.
- Ability to problem solve from garment specifications.
- Time management skills and ability to multi task.
