- Full time hours
- Fixed minimum hours and days off, but the timing of your rostered shifts will vary depending on service needs. You must have flexibility to work a combination of morning, evening and night/wakeover shifts.
- $23.84 - $29.10 per hour depending on relevant qualifications
**Mō te tūnga | About the role**
IDEA Services runs a small mental health service near Wellington offering supported accommodation to individuals with high or complex needs with mental health challenges, intellectual disabilities or dual diagnosis.
The team provides around the clock support with the expertise and training to work with people who endure mental health and disability problems.
The service places value on the environment, importance of support, access to good food, exercise, social relationships, hope, human rights and being involved in the local community. The people we support take an active part in decision-making through meetings and committees.
The supported accommodation service is a cluster of six homes in a neighbourhood near Raumati beach. Staff work across the site, supporting residents to set goals, manage medication, complete activities of daily living, and explore new possibilities for growth and development. We work closely with local health and support services.

**Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring**
No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary, but a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude is highly valued. Full training and orientation will be provided to individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work a range f rostered shifts rostered shifts.
- A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours.
- Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
- A Full NZ driver's license.
