Our client is one of New Zealand’s largest grower owned post-harvest suppliers. Based in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, they have a history of growth and an uncompromising reputation for looking after their Growers.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting packhouses, offsite locations and orchards with health and safety advice and guidance.

You will maintain a visible profile; build strong relationships with employees; close out corrective actions; monitor incident rates; lead or be involved in investigations; reporting; and assist Team Leaders and the Health and Safety Manager with H&S planning and delivery of world class H&S initiatives. This role also involves early pain and discomfort and injury management claims.
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- A formal health and safety related tertiary qualification
- H&S legislation knowledge and a passion for H&S excellence;
- Strong planning, organisational and follow up skills;
- Knowledge and experience around early pain and discomfort and injury management
- Highly developed communication skills and ability to form relationships quickly and with ease;
- Proven attention to detail and strong accuracy skills;
- The ability to influence, coach, mentor and lead others;
- Exceptional time management; attention to detail and problem solving skills.
