We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about the role transport can play in improving the lives of our Hawke’s Bay community, while looking to address climate change. Reporting to the Group Manager - Policy & Regulation, this role requires a passion for people and leadership. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering the Region’s Transport Plan, identifying priorities for future investment, and ensuring seamless integration of public transport, total mobility schemes, and road safety initiatives. You will actively support Council to successfully meet commitments to our community in a positive and collaborative way. You will lead the development and oversee implementation of transport-related strategies, policies and plans, manage Council’s legal responsibilities and obligations in regard to public transport, all while overseeing Council’s service delivery performance.

Ideally you will also have:
- Demonstrated experience leading a high performing team to deliver results
- Previous experience in contracting and managing public transport services
- Transport planning or policy experience
- Excellent time management, organisation, prioritisation and proactive communication skills
- Resilience, adaptability, and flexibility to keep up with the ever-changing nature of HBRC

**What we offer | Nga huanga mōu**
The salary range for this role is between $123,480 to $137,200 dependant on your level of qualification and experience. Other benefits of working for our team include:
