Are you a Registered Nurse looking for Monday to Friday working hours? We are seeking a Kaitiaki Nurse to fill a Permanent, Full Time Position at our Mokoia Campus, Rotorua.
Working as part of the Health and Wellness Team the Kaitiaki Nurse position aims to provide a professional, high-quality health and wellness service to our students and staff at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology. This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30 pm.
**The key responsibilities for this position include**:
- Treatment of minor injuries, illnesses and/or health concerns
- Sexual health services (cervical smears, contraception, STI checks and pregnancy testing)
- Immunisation services
- Promoting, assessing and supporting students and their mental wellbeing
- Promotion of health education and awareness
- Responding to campus emergencies
**About you / He kōrero mōu**
**As the ideal applicant you will have proven capability and experience in the following**:
- Registered nurse qualification
- Current annual practicing certificate with Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Current CPR and First Aid certificate
- Full driver’s license
- Nursing experience in mental health and sexual health is preferred
- 2 years nursing experience (minimum)
