AFFCO Rangiuru, a New Zealand owned, meat processing company has 25 openings at our Processing plant located at 1562 Te Puke Highway, Bay Of Plenty, New Zealand for** **Experienced Meat Process Workers.

Working a minimum of 30 hours per week you will generally complete 8-10+ hours a day, 5-6 days a week, hiring for day and night shift

Experienced Lamb and Sheep slaughterers earn between $27.76 and $34.76 per hour or on average $70,000 per year

**Qualifications**:
As a skilled Meat Process Worker you will have had two years’ experience in red meat slaughter floors or have successfully completed New Zealand Apprenticeship in Slaughter Operations (Level 4) or a recognised equivalent

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for a lot of duties including:

- Slaughter Sheep and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses.
- Slaughter sheep and hygienically dress in preparation for primal cuts for further processing and packaging, de-boning the cut meat into specific cuts for commercial or other wholesale use.
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, mesh safety equipment) as provided by the Employer.
