**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Design & Planning**:

- Develop electrical designs and layouts for new construction projects, ensuring compliance with national and local electrical codes, regulations, and standards.
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software.
- Select appropriate electrical components, including wiring, switches, transformers, and circuit breakers.

**System Installation & Supervision**:

- Oversee the installation of electrical systems, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and schedule.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., mechanical, civil) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project.

**Project Coordination & Support**:

- Work closely with project managers and contractors to provide technical support, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of electrical systems.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure that electrical installations adhere to the planned schedule.
- Conduct site visits to review installation quality, assess safety, and troubleshoot any electrical issues.

**Testing & Commissioning**:

- Perform electrical testing, including inspections, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety.
- Review test results and make necessary adjustments to systems to meet design specifications.

**Compliance & Safety**:

- Ensure that all electrical systems comply with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Implement and maintain safety protocols on construction sites to ensure the safety of all personnel.

**Documentation & Reporting**:

- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project status, milestones, and any technical issues to senior management.

**Collaboration & Training**:

- Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate electrical systems with other building systems.
- Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and site personnel on electrical safety and best practices.

Pay rate: $24.00 per hour
Days required: 5 days/week
Hours per week: 30 hours/week, maximum 55 hours/week

Reports To: Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager

**Education and Experience**:

- Relevant diploma or above qualification in Engineering or related field AND at least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the construction industry.
- Licensed Electrical Engineer is preferred

**Skills &Knowledge**:

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, construction, and testing procedures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software for electrical design.
- Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, NFPA).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems on-site.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
