**The details**:Fixed term part time - Up to 16 hours per week
We currently have a vacancy for a part-time Kaihāpai Evaluator, working in partnership with our Te Puna Oranga Māori Health services
- This pilot will have significant benefits to Ma Māori ori patients, whanau and staff.
**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
As a Kaihāpai Evaluator you will conduct high-quality professional evaluation service for the Kaihāpai - Māori Cultural Liaison Pilot. The evaluator will design and conduct evaluation activities and having regard to the aims and objectives of the Kaihāpai - Cultural Liaison Critical Care Pilot.
- To be effective and succeed in this role it is expected the person will have proven capabilities against the Leading-Self leadership focus. A person with this leadership focus will not hold formal leadership accountabilities but is responsible for displaying leadership character and driving service delivery within their role and team.
- Key responsibilities of the role:
- Provide professional evaluation services for the Kaihāpai - Cultural Liaison Critical Care Pilot
- Conduct evaluation studies to assess the effectiveness of Kaihāpai - Cultural Liaison Pilot against agreed objectives
- Produce reports detailing the findings of the evaluation, what worked well, areas for improvement, and make recommendations.

**Mōu | About you**
- Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:
- Tertiary qualification in health related field or equivalent experience in the health sector or research to Masters Level or above. Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
- Passion for working with whanau Māori
- Extensive networks and relationships with services, Māori and the wider community
- You will likely have significant existing networks within a Māori health environment in order to have the required credibility to further build and maintain positive relationships at all levels
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
- Māori / Pacific cultural competency.
- Experience in engaging with Māori / Pacific patients and families in a healthcare service.
- Good understanding of the unit’s functions, and the processes and services within it.
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori people
- Comprehensive understanding of Māori worldviews.
- Good relationships with Māori cultural networks and services.
- Fluent in Te reo me ona tikanga considered an asset but not essential
- Demonstrated experience in conducting research interviews or surveys considered an asset but not essential
- Experience in quality improvement initiatives considered an asset but not essential
