CNC Machinist

**About the company**
Our Napier client is a well-recognised manufacturer with customers based in NZ and globally. They are currently looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to join their great team.

**About the role**
This is a permanent, full time position with a great company that looks after their workers. Daily duties would range from programming, setting the job up in the machine, checking the first part off of a job, supervising a labourer if they are running the job after it has been set, checking parts as they come off of the machines, loading machines and general workshop duties.

**Experience and skills**
- The applicant should be capable of doing programming either at the machine or on the CAM system (Autodesk Fusion)
- Having a sound working knowledge of the formulas required to achieve the correct cutting speeds and feeds for tooling is essential
- Knowing how to hold jobs or make fixtures for holding would be helpful as well
- A methodical and logical approach with exceptional attention to detail
- Great problem-solving skills
- The ability to consistently manage quality control during production runs
- A positive attitude to work and enjoy being part of a team
- The knowledge to ensure machines are maintained appropriately
