**Senior Software Engineer - Mobile Application Development**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Senior Software Engineer for Mobile Application Development is a technical leadership role, ensuring that our App technical landscape and solutions meet our current and future organisational and customer needs.
- To achieve this, you will:

- Enable us to maintain, develop and enhance the functionality of different projects to meet business needs.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to other development staff.
- Contribute to improving development processes, tools, strategy, and methodology.

**Role Location**: Christchurch CBD

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Participate in various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and complete the software function realisation according to the project schedule and requirements.
- Explore, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency. Write clean, composed, and maintainable codes as developing world-class products for our clients.
- Perform code maintenance, issues troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimisation. Write automated tests and perform code reviews to maintain the quality of products.
- Implement and maintain the CI/CD pipeline for delivery.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related areas.
- At least 5 + years of professional Mobile development experience in Android and iOS.
- 3+ years of experience in hybrid app development with React-Native and Flutter.
- Ability to add value and improve product quality through architectural improvements, code reviews, writing effective unit tests, and collaborating with the QA team.
- Experienced in handling both legacy code and greenfield development and can make technical recommendations based on the project's needs.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and ReactiveX Programming.
- Have a strong understanding of security, reliability, and scalability topics.
- Strong proficiency across iOS frameworks such as SwiftUI, UIKit, Foundation, Combine, etc.
- Hands-on experience with design patterns (MVVM, MVP, Viper).
- Passionate about great app design and user experience.
- Hands-on experience with the design and development of WearOS.
