Our fleet of 2 ships and over 200 trucks is supported by a nationwide network of 10 depots and a 450+ strong team to deliver hundreds of thousands of tonnes of freight (and passengers) the length and breadth of New Zealand every week.
We currently have a newly established role available for an experienced Administrator to join and support our Freight Forwarding Team based in Palmerston North. This is a full time position and ideally the hours of work would be 7.00am until 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
**About the role**:
Based at our new depot in Kelvin Grove, you will be the key person who is responsible for overall branch administration and ensuring the efficient running of the office. We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for customer service and a proven track record of developing positive working relationships, and who is able to create the best first impression. You will be open for getting involved in anything and everything to do with the daily operations of the branch and strive to make things run smoothly.
**What you will be doing**:
- Attending to visitors and dealing with inquiries on the phone and face to face.
- Data entry
- Manage and order all branch consumables
- Ensure site inductions for staff and visitors are completed and up to date
- Any admin duty that is required to be completed at branch level
**The person we are looking for**:
- Has experience working in a similar fast paced role
- Is a true team player and contributes with a positive can-do attitude
- Displays strong I.T and communication skills
- Possesses strong attention to detail and desire to deliver to the highest standard of excellence
- Has the ability to build a rapport easily with people on all levels
- Displays an excellent customer focused attitude
- Experience in the freight industry would be advantageous
