Our Auckland branch currently has opportunities available for casual &permanent entry level roles on the port.

Entry level working as General Duties Wharf Hands give you a chance to get a “foot in the door” towards a career on the port. Full training is provided, so no experience is necessary, however we do require people who are keen and motivated to learn. You need to be physically fit as some of the duties involve handling equipment that can weigh up to 25kgs. You could be working on the wharf or working onboard vessels - no two days are the same

This opportunity could be a step into a new career at the port, which is an essential service for NZ trade. As vessels can arrive at any time of the day or night flexibility to work a variety of shifts over a 24/7 week is a requirement. Working outside in all weathers is also part of both roles, so you need to be comfortable in an outdoor environment.

Career progression into skilled and supervisory roles such as Machine Operator, Crane Driver and Foreman are some of the opportunities available to transition from a job into a career. - Have flexibility to work hours over a 24/7 working week

- Act in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements

- Have a positive attitude
- Be committed to a safe work environment
- Be legally entitled to work in NZ with a valid work visa, residency or citizen status
