**Full Time position (40 hours per week)**

**We are looking for someone**:

- With 12 month experience in fast paced fast food industry where staff works as an allrounder between customers, kitchen and dishes will be really good to have.
- Be reliable and turn up to your rostered shift on time
- Be a team player.
- Passion for people and driving a successful team culture.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**QUALITY CONTROL**
The Cafe Worker will be responsible for maintaining the quality of the product reaching the customers by:

- Accepting the role as last quality controller in the chain between the business and the customer;
- Politely returning any product to the kitchen if it is not up to standard (i.e. presentation, portion size, etc.), with special attention to special & promotional items and specific requests and changes to standard menu items;
- Feeding back customer comments on the products to the appropriate team leader or manager;
- Providing ideas as to how service or product quality can be improved.

**STORE PRESENTATION**
The Cafe Worker will be responsible for ensuring the store is presented to the appropriate standard by:

- Maintaining their personal presentation to the standard indicated by the team leader/manager
- Reporting any repairs or maintenance items to the team leader for attention;
- Performing preparation duties and store cleaning as per agreed procedures;

**PRODUCTIVITY & MORALE**
The Cafe Worker is responsible for:

- Seeking from their supervisor, what exactly is expected of them (job description), how to do it (training) and how they will be judged (performance appraisals);
- Working as part of a team to ensure that all tasks are completed in order of priority & within an allotted time frame;
- Maintaining a clean and pleasant work environment;
- Responding to and treating colleagues with professional respect and courtesy;

**OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY**
The Cafe Worker is responsible for:

- Adhering to occupational health & safety guidelines, as outlined in the induction manual & other policies;
- Ensuring the use of appropriate equipment + clothing designed to protect staff safety & prevent accidents;
- Reporting any potentially dangerous situations or practices to the team leader;

**HYGIENE, SANITATION & SAFETY**
The Cafe Worker is responsible for ensuring superior standards of food storage, kitchen cleanliness, & kitchen safety by:

- Ensuring the food service & preparation areas are in a state for public presentation at all times;
- Ensuring appropriate personal hygiene is maintained at all times;
- Ensuring that all food handling procedures are carried out in accordance with the food safety plan;
- Ensuring the correct usage and handling of chemicals.

GOOD RECEIPT AND STORAGE

The Cafe Worker is responsible for food and other supply purchases by:

- Monitoring all deliveries for quality, quantity/weight, and freshness; & politely rejecting any item(s) that are not up to the agreed standard;
- Not signing a docket unless the item has been checked thoroughly;
- Accepting personal responsibility for shortages that have been signed for;
- Maintaining the organization, cleanliness and security of all goods storage areas;
- Ensuring that all kitchen stocks are rotated & stored according to procedures in module.

**Front of house/customer service**:
CUSTOMER SERVICE

The Cafe Worker will be responsible for maintaining above average customer perception of the store & brand by:

- Ensuring customers are met and greeted to a standard that will deliver a positive first impression;
- Ensuring customers & needs + expectations are met wherever possible during their experience at the store;
- Ensuring that customers are served in a timely fashion;
- Ensuring that an appropriate level of technical skills (food handling, money handling, product knowledge, table clearing, etc.) are demonstrated to the customers;
- Ensuring that customers complaint or customer dissatisfaction is dealt with in a manner that will ensure the customer returns to the store.
