**Te kāinga rua | The opportunity**

Join as a senior leader in the rapidly growing Beca Northland business where you will be working with a tight knit team passionate about making a difference across Whangārei, and the surrounding Northland region. You will be based in Beca’s brand new Whangārei office, playing a key role supporting our Project Director and Project Management functions, working with multiple teams to enable project delivery as a trusted advisor and project delivery practitioner.

You will be a relationship builder with great communication skills, connecting across Beca and with our broad range of clients. You will understand project governance structures, risk management, scheduling, and construction contracts, importantly with experience in the role of Engineer to Contract. An external client relationship management focus will be a key part of this role, ensuring great delivery and from that, building and securing on going opportunities and work for our business.

**Ko wai koe | About you**

You will be an experienced consultant or delivery leader with the credibility, confidence, and ability to operate across projects and programmes of all sizes. You are action oriented and will bring your knowledge, insights and experience as an advisor, consultant, and leader.
- Experience of circa 10 - 15 years, managing and leading capital works projects or programmes, providing you with a good understanding the local market, business, and operating environment.
- You will be confident and personable with excellent communications, leadership, writing and facilitation skills.
- You will have a technical qualification in engineering, architecture or similar, you may also have further qualifications in management.
- You will have experience in the role of ‘Engineer to the Contract’ in the administration of NZS3910 construction contracts.
- You may have experience on major projects, PMOs, alliances or similar, from both consultant, client-side or main contractor organsiations.
- You may already be chartered or be working towards an industry recognised accreditation.

You will be a great communicator who can positively influence, guide and lead projects by building credible relationships. You will know when to encourage, support and challenge teams to drive positive client outcomes. You will be an energetic and passionate contributor with a good understanding of the local New Zealand sector, potentially balanced with overseas experiences.
