We have an exciting opportunity for an inquisitive individual who’s keen to work in a dynamic and engaging area of Inland Revenue’s digital experience team. We are looking for individuals who can get to the heart of a problem, work well with others (including Government and private stakeholders), and with an eye for detail. You don’t need to be a Gateway Services expert, you will receive training and development, but you’ll need demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems and deliver customer experiences that help Inland Revenue’s customers meet their tax obligations digitally.

As a new member of an established team, you’ll gain experience supporting the tax system millions of New Zealanders rely on every day. You will learn to develop new features and functionality for our Gateway Services - the suite of APIs used to connect the tax system with New Zealand’s expanding software ecosystem.

**Ara Whiwhi Mahi **| The Opportunity**
- Work with software developers in private businesses and across government to build solutions that support customers
- Support the change and maintenance of APIs to a wide variety of software platforms
- Gather business, customer, and software developer requirements to support design
- Participate in definition of the technical solutions
- Unit test the solution with a focus on the different software platforms impacted
- Actively seek opportunities to enhance the experience of software developers and their users.

- Design experience and knowledge of the techniques to identify and solve problems
