Our National Projects team are responsible for some of the largest civil infrastructure jobs in New Zealand, including motorway projects with a high public profile such as the Northern Corridor Improvements project in Auckland and the Takitimu North Link in Tauranga. We work closely with our clients and other constructors in collaborative alliances, ensuring the best outcomes for all. We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join us in Auckland on the O Mahurangi - Penlink project.

**About the Role**:
As Quality Engineer you will provide technical and quality support to the construction teams across a wide range of construction tasks for the success of the project. You will contribute to planning and execution of project tasks, develop test plans and manage compliance throughout. You will undertake quality checks and collate quality information for submission to the clients.

The role will:

- Provide input into the safe planning and execution of project tasks
- Develop inspection and test plans in accordance with project specifications and manage compliance throughout, including hold-points, inspections and quality records
- Undertake quality checks and testing directly
- Prepare and collate quality information for submission to the client's Engineer upon completion
- Assist in procurement activities of supplies and sub-contractors and preparation of purchase orders and sub-contract agreements
- Record and reconcile delivery dockets against invoices
- Track costs from suppliers and sub-contractors against budget through the course of the project

To be successful in this role you'll hold a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or similar, ideally with 3+ years' experience in a QA role with structures experience. In addition you'll:

- Be able to use experience and knowledge to ensure works are undertaken in an efficient and cost-effective manner
- Be able to use site datums and reading plans, provide set out information on site as required
- Have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Have excellent skills at developing effective working relationship with others
- Be able to manage time well and prioritise work
- Preferably familiar with software platforms such as MSProject, MSExcel, PowerBI and M-Files
