The job

In the day to day operations, you won’t just be operating as a Hydro-excavation, Jet and Suction Truck Operator, you will be scheduling and organising jobs, liaising with customers and clients as well as assisting in general duties.

You’ll also need to understand the importance of looking out for the safety of your workmates, the environment, public and yourself, you will need to make sure that the plant is ready for daily operation at the designated times as well as meeting the expectations of our customers. This is a permanent full-time role in Gisborne, working 40 hours per week. The hourly rate range is $31.37 - $34.07 per hour.

About you

People skills is also a must as you will use these to build genuine and lasting relationships with our customers especially council. In addition, we are looking for someone who is punctual, can work in a team, is able to work unsupervised and has the ability to use a tablet and apps.

Experience and attributes:
- Class 5 licence with a minimum of 2 year’s driving experience- Mechanical aptitude and high priority towards taking care of your truck and an excellent attitude toward the maintenance and care of machinery- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- An unwavering commitment towards living safely with a safety record to match- Experience operating jet and vacuum trucks would be an advantageous but not essential- First Aid certificate is desirable
