**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our Anaesthesia Department here at Waikato Hospital. As a successful Medical Workforce Coordinator you will play a key role in rostering our Anaesthetist workforce, scheduling resources according to the needs of the service, and supporting workforce recruitment.

The Anaesthesia Department has more than 115 staff across it’s workforces with increasing complexities in specialist requirements and coverage which necessitate careful planning, resourcing considerations and scheduling tool/ process development.

This is a full-time, permanent position where you will work Monday-Friday 7:30-16:00.

**Key responsibilities of the role**:

- Support the team in the rostering of the Anaesthesia workforce
- Assist with the scheduling of resource according to the needs of the service
- Support with recruitment across the department
- Development and monitoring of workforce flow

**About the Service**

Anaesthesia is part of Waikato Hospital's Theatres and Interventional Services cluster.

A large team consisting of specialist anaesthetists, registrars and senior house officers, anaesthetic technicians, a pain nurse practitioner and pain nurse specialist, a research scientists, manager and administration support. It is led by an Anaesthetic Executive Group.

The full scope of practice includes preoperative assessment, anaesthesia for surgical and non-surgical procedures (including sedation and all forms of regional and general anaesthesia), complex pain management and resuscitation, and medical education.

**About you**
- At least 2 years previous Administration Experience, preferably with experience in scheduling or rostering in a healthcare environment
- Able to manage priorities efficiently
- Be self-driven and able to lead process development
- Be flexible to the ongoing changes
- Excellent written and verbal communication and confident liaising with different colleagues and teams across the hospital
- Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
