Mercure Wellington Abel Tasman Hotel are currently seeking a Duty Manager - Front Office to join our dynamic and professional team. Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day to day Front Office operations.
- Minimum 12 months Senior Reception experience
- Strong knowledge on Yield Management
- Have formal training in hotel management
- Manage and coordinate all front desk activities, staffing and guest relations
- Applied team management & development experience
- Strong customer service ethos
- Demonstrated Staff training and motivation skills
- Highly developed interpersonal/communication skills
- Excellent organisational & time management skills
- LCQ and Managers Certificate required
**Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Effective supervision of all guest arrivals, departures, ensuring that room allocations and check in/check out processes adhere to policies and procedures to ensure total customer satisfaction.
- Regular liaison with Maintenance, Housekeeping and Reservations in order to ensure that requests are completed accurately and efficiently; focusing on guest needs as a priority.
- Full utilisation of the Front Office system, ensuring accuracy in use and a range of accurate reports to meet operational needs are produced.
- Train, develop and support members of the Front Office team.
- Ensure that all standards are maintained, profitability is maximized and customer needs are met
