- Senior Education Adviser - Early Learning
- Fixed term position until September 2025
- Based in our Botany Office

Do you have a passion for improving educational outcomes for children and their families? Are you currently in the education sector and ready to take another career move? If you have a passion for improving educational achievement for all learners including Maori and Pacific, and are enthusiastic and committed to building collaborative relationships and open to new ways to do things differently, we could have a role for you.

We have a great opportunity for the right person to join our South and South West Team at the Ministry of Education.

We will give you the opportunity to work directly with Early Learning Services, educators, whanau and Communities of Learning to achieve successful educational outcomes for all students, with a particular focus on realising the potential of Maori students and Pasifika students. You must be able to influence others with knowledge, skills and experience in improving student engagement and achievement.

**About you | Mohou ake**

We are looking for a person who has:

- a good understanding of the New Zealand education system and of legislation relevant to education
- experience, preferably at a leadership level, in Primary or Secondary education, Maori medium, or school governance
- relationship and stakeholder management experience
- the ability to partner with others to support and implement change initiatives
- a relevant tertiary qualification
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

At Te Tahuhu o te Matauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to akonga and whanau.
