Our Finance Team are responsible for producing the financial scorecard for Z, accounting for all cash in and out of Z, maintaining the accuracy of our financial records of our assets and paying our taxes.

Working as part of a team and closely with our Kaikaute Pūtea Financial Accountants you will assist with the delivery of timely and accurate financial information. The purpose of your work is to help ensure the integrity of financial statements and information. This information is used right across our business to inform a range of decisions - its important mahi

**You will have the opportunity to**
- Contribute to managing the integrity of the general ledger including investigating balances and being able to perform corrective actions
- Assist in preparation of Statutory Accounts, half and full year, including responsibility for producing notes for the accounts and associated market materials
- Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations and as required assist with monthly performance reporting activities
- Assist with external reporting, preparation of GST and tax returns and fixed asset register maintenance and lease accounting
- Read accounting standards and be able to draft commentary for review
- Build relationships with internal and external customers to ensure we are accounting for their costs and providing suitable solutions
- Support across Z with queries, from query to resolution

**Qualifications**:
**What you’ll bring to Z**
- You will hold a relevant finance degree or you might be a partially qualified accountant working towards your CA
- Working knowledge of New Zealand accounting standards
- Strong Excel skills
- A background in accounting and finance work within commercial environments
- The ability to manage your own work and also function as part of a team
- A proactive approach to identifying and developing opportunities for improvements
- Proven track record of attention to detail and accuracy
- A positive and proactive attitude

The base salary range for this role is $$76,500 to $90,000 per annum, plus 10% bonus based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
