**Mō te Tūranga | About the Role**
As a Business Development Manager - CPF you will be responsible for the development and management of relationships with an allocated group of Aon Brokers. This includes renewal of existing business and identifying new business opportunities within allocated broker portfolio and providing the key relationship between NZI and our broker partner. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team that offers competitive national risk coverage and a leading product offering. You'll work to build a strong partnership with Aon where you'll really get to understand customer needs and assess risk according.
This role is focused on Commercial SME and requires commercial underwriting experience. Some travel may be required so the successful applicant will need to be flexible with this requirement.
This Permanent role is available in Auckland and offers flexible working conditions that support a mix of working from home, IAG office and Brokers’ Office.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Build and manage relationships with allocated brokers and agents to attract new and retain existing profitable business
- Develop a strategic approach to your key broker relationships
- Responsible for the underwriting of new and renewal business
**Ōu Pūkenga | About You**
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- Commercial Insurance underwriting and pricing experience
- Strong relationships building and stakeholder management skills
- Awareness and understanding of the local Commercial Insurance market
- Sound decision making skills with the ability to exercise judgment
- Proactive, self-motivated and someone who enjoys working as part of a team
- The ability to work quickly & efficiently to achieve partner service level agreements
