Hydrogeologist

Our Christchurch office is currently seeking an experienced Hydrogeologist to become an integral member of our National Environment team.

In this full-time role you will be supporting the delivery of hydrogeology, environmental and contaminated land projects across New Zealand and the Pacific.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Participate in environmental projects related to land use and development and with GHD’s transport, water and urban design teams on infrastructure projects.
- Organising and undertaking field programmes for hydrogeology, geotechnical, and contaminated site investigation projects, including drilling and test pitting, groundwater monitoring, aquifer testing, soil testing, surface water, groundwater, and soil sampling
- Analysis and interpretation of hydrogeological, geochemical, soil and geotechnical data
- Assisting the development of technical reports and client proposals
- Developing and maintaining robust client relationships; ensuring client expectations and project outcomes are met

**What you will bring to the team**:

- BSc or MSc (preferred) in hydrogeology, water resource engineering, earth sciences or related qualification
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience
- Previous experience working within a consultancy, that is, you possess a strong understanding of the ‘consulting way’
- Desire to deliver an exceptional client experience
- Ability to manage several jobs at once and determine priorities
- Sound judgement and decisiveness
- Proactive, analytical and problem solving skills
