**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

Our service is looking for 2 resourceful, and enthusiastic NZ Registered Nurses to work in our rapidly evolving service. We do require one Nurse to work in the Wairarapa and also one Nurse to cover the Porirua and Kapiti area.

We offer an exciting work environment, the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings and support with on-going professional development.

The role of the Primary care Liaison Nurse is to work with clients, mental health clinicians, GPs, practice nurses and other stakeholders to ensure that clients are able to access the treatment most appropriate to their needs. The primary care Liaison Nurse does not provide a care management role to clients, rather acts in a consultation role for primary care via GPs, Health Centres and Community Mental Health teams, as well as providing assessment and brief intervention when required.

We are a small dynamic supportive team, covering the whole of the MHAIDS area. Primary care nursing is an exciting, evolving service at the forefront of new service provision and development.
