**_Your Impact_**

The Civil Water team has an exciting pipeline of work, we are delivering New Zealand’s largest water infrastructure project, the $1.2b Central Interceptor project along with many other projects for different clients. In our team, you could be working on tunnels, water treatment plants and major pumping stations or restoring wetlands and waterways and creating new habitats. Due to our business structure, you will also have the opportunity to work on projects in Australia, not to mention the global opportunities Jacobs can offer should you wish to gain international experience.

Jacobs is rare within the NZ water industry in that we use a global team of experts to deliver local projects. Our team regularly work with our specialists over in the USA, Europe and elsewhere. There are not many projects we deliver using only New Zealand based resources, working for Jacobs means access to this global expertise and world leading innovation. You will be exposed to all elements of infrastructure delivery, including; feasibility studies, asset management, project/design management, detailed design and construction management. Our non-hierarchical structure and team culture will allow you to work shoulder to shoulder with our industry leading principals, helping you achieve your career goals in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Due to current business opportunities, we are looking to appoint an Intermediate/Senior Civil Engineer to join our fast-growing Water team for our New Zealand operations. This is an opportunity to join a dedicated and high-performing team of professionals to deliver a range of significant projects for both public and private sector clients locally, nationally and internationally.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:_
Responsibilities will include:_**
- Delivery of Water Infrastructure projects, from local projects to large international projects, including; feasibility studies, asset management, project/design management, detailed design and construction management.
- Working direct with our clients in solving their problems and challenges to develop strong client relationships.
- Opportunities to be involved in Design Management and Project Management of Water Infrastructure projects.
- Guiding, developing and mentoring other engineers.
- Supporting business development activities and project proposals and tenders.
- Working collaboratively with a team including on large-scale multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects and programs.

**_Here’s What You’ll Need_**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 2-5 years’ experience in a consultancy environment
- Experience in detailed design of 3 waters infrastructure projects is desired, but not essential
- Experience in the design management of 3 waters infrastructure projects is desired, but not essential
- Good knowledge of relevant industry
