**About the Role**
We are looking for an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our nursing leadership team as a Unit Coordinator within the Resthome Unit at our lovely Bob Owens Village located in Bethlehem, Tauranga. The role includes working Tuesday to Saturday, 0730 - 1600.
As a Unit Coordinator, you will use your nursing and people skills to:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring care is always "good enough for mum and dad"
- Foster the Ryman culture which promotes a safe and enjoyable work experience for your team
- Ensure all care is continuously assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet the needs of each resident
- Create lasting relationships by actively engaging with resident's families/whānau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and local DHB
- Ensure your team embraces a range of beliefs, ethnicities, gender, sexuality, and principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Perform and support your nursing team to conduct interRAI assessments
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with your team that promotes respect and trust
- Provide support to your Clinical Manager and Village Manager
- Intermittently provide additional time outside rostered hours to attend events, support team members or residents and families
**About You**
To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:
- A current APC (annual practicing certificate)
- InterRAI training or willingness to gain competency
- Experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader
- The ability to lead, share knowledge and motivate your team
- Kindness, compassion, and drive, to deliver exceptional care to our residents
- Flexibility to share responsibilities of the on-call component with other Unit Coordinators
