Bar Staff

We are searching for an enthusiastic bar Staff with a "can-do" attitude to assist our organization. Bartender will serve drinks according to the customers preferences and also has an excellent communication skills for our Hotel Ashburton.

**Key Job responsibilities will include-**
- Responsibilities of a bartender include greeting customers, reading and listening to determine their beverage preferences, making suggestions, and receiving drink orders.
- Developing beverage menus and informing consumers of new drinks and specials.
- Choosing and combining ingredients, garnishing containers, and serving customers' beverages.
- Customers' identification is checked to ensure they are of legal age to purchase beverages.
- Taking stock and procuring supplies to ensure that the bar and tables are adequately stocked.
- Adhering to all regulations regarding food safety and quality.
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and providing customers with the correct change, and balancing the cash register.
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing debris, wiping down tables, and washing equipment, glasses, and utensils.
- Creating innovative cocktail concoctions.

This is a minimum 30 hours per week role.

**Requirements-**
- Must be NZ resident
- Must have 1 year of relevant experience in same field.
- Meets the legal age requirement to serve alcohol.
- The willingness to do shifts evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have Manager's Certificate.
- Effective task and time management skills.
- A keen sense of detail and familiarity with cocktail-making equipment and techniques.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time, as well as lift up to 25 pounds.

**Salary**: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
