**Our Opportunity**:
Are you an experienced Data & Analytics professional with a keen interest in the latest industry trends? We have an exciting new role within our Customer business that may be for you.

In this role you will be responsible for growing the capabilities of our Business Insights & Analytics Practice, in alignment with Mercury's transition to a future ready state. You'll work closely with the Customer Value Streams and the 'People Experience Technology' (PXT) functions to ensure that this growth is in alignment with both our Customer and Technology strategies. In addition to enhancing the team's technical skills, you will help enable data-driven decision-making within the Customer Value Streams.

This role can be based in our Tauranga or Auckland offices. Our hybrid flexible work policy allows you to work from home while recognising the value of collaborating with colleagues in the office.
- Design professional standards (operating norms) for the Practice
- Lead and mentor the team, creating opportunities for skill development, role diversification, and career growth.
- Set the strategic direction for the practice, including capabilities, tools, technologies, and processes.
- Work with Delivery Leads to allocate skillsets effectively across squads and projects, ensuring optimal delivery to business and customer expectations.
- Identify future capability needs based on upcoming projects and continuously assess resource allocation.
- Work closely with the Customer Value Streams and People Experience and Technology functions, to ensure that the growth of the practice is in alignment with the Customer and Technology strategy

**We are looking for**:

- Leadership - Experience in a Data & Analytics role(s)
- Data & Analytics Acumen - A keen interest (with backing experience) in the Data and Analytics domain
- Growing People and Expertise - proven experience and passion for growing and mentoring people, showing interest in industry trends and the ability to raise internal team capabilities and standards
- Adaptive leadership - leads in a way that provides autonomy and empowerment, alignment, clarity and purpose, and supports value-driven prioritisation
- Relationship building - strong ability to develop relationships and create alignment across the organisation
- Stakeholder engagement - proven experience in communicating and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders
- Personal resilience - displaying self-awareness, self-regulation and self-compassion, understanding own values and purpose, persistent in the face of adversity
