Coffee Technician

Exciting news from the Havana team We are looking for a qualified **Coffee Technician** to join the Havana Coffee Works family based at our Wellington HQ. Havana is in an exciting period of growth for our business, so don’t miss this opportunity to join the ride.

Your role will be to maintain, diagnose and repair machines for both our commercial fleet & customers across the Wellington and Lower North Island. If a customer requires some urgent support with their coffee machine, you would be there on hand to make sure they're back up & running with mínimal impact. Havana is a distributor for Wega, Mazzer, Rocket and La Marzocco coffee machines, so providing technical guidance on these machines is also part of the role.

**Reporting to our Technical & Equipment Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include**:

- Installing, servicing, repairs, maintenance of all Havana equipment across a variety of customers and locations
- All workshop and storage related inventory and stock management, including stocktakes and orders/ acquisition
- Management of all equipment in CRM system, including serial numbers, locations, service history
- All events set up requirements
- Building maintenance and repairs as necessary

- Cool under pressure; working well to time constraints, following pre-determined guidelines, planning ahead, meeting operational demands and adapting to ever-changing variables on a daily basis.
- Positive and focused; we are a team where no task is too big or too small so a great attitude to teamwork while being self-motivated is essential.

You’ll need to hold a current New Zealand EAS Electrical Certificate or Graduate Diploma In Engineering (Mechatronics) and a full NZ Driver’s license. Preferably at least three years’ experience working with coffee equipment (or something similar). A reasonable base knowledge and experience in the specialty coffee sector is preferred. The role will include travel outside of the Wellington region, and occasionally outside of usual business hours with very little notice which you will be compensated appropriately for.
