Homeware Buyer

A great opportunity to join the fast paced and innovative NZ Ecommerce Retailer onceit.co.nz.

We are looking for someone who has been working in a buying team, has experience in critical path management in the homeware category to run the timelines from PO creation to delivery of goods. You will need online retail experience in the homeware category.

The Production Assistant role provides vital support to the Homeware Buyer in the procurement and development of private label products. This role involves various administrative, analytical, and coordination tasks to ensure a successful private label program.

Our office is based in Newmarket, Auckland, hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday with work from home one day a week.

You must be located in Auckland, with full employment rights in NZ.

**What we ask you to do in this role**:

- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to obtain product information, samples, and pricing. Be clear and concise on communication with overseas factories.
- Support the Buyer by executing negotiated terms of trade, contracts, and agreements.
- Assist with Photography Shoots
- Order Processing and Tracking: Assist in creating purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in product specifications, quantities, and pricing.
- Work closely with suppliers to establish and maintain production schedules. Ensure that production timelines align with overall business goals and objectives.
- Support in monitoring inventory levels and replenishment needs.
- Data entry and documentation: input and maintain accurate product information, pricing, and supplier details in the Range Plan.
- Update OTB with accurate PO details, support and assist our Planner to reconcile OTB monthly, and for all future PO's.
- Manage supplier invoice payments with the finance team.
- Assist in ensuring that all products meet quality and compliance standards set in the Onceit Compliance Directory. Support the Buyer to address any quality or compliance issues.
- Collaborate and brainstorm with the Buyer in conceptualizing and developing new product lines or variations.
- Uploading product onto our website with accuracy and technical specifications. Work with digital and marketing teams to ensure a high standard of product presentation, promotion, campaign creation, conversion, and customer experience on the website.
- Critical Path Management: Monitor and track order statuses to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in packaging requirements for finished products for shipment, ensuring they are properly protected and labeled.
- Communicate with internal logistics team and freight forwarders to facilitate smooth delivery and arrival of PO's.

- A passion for and experience in the Homeware & Hard Goods category.
- Interest and experience in online retail.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good time management to achieve deadlines and plan workload.
- Excellent relationship building, people and social skills.
- Exceptional computer skills - Excel and Word. Excel is a critical part of the role.
- Ability to communicate and cooperate across other internal teams to facilitate campaigns and brand relationships = team player (operations, accounts and merchandising, marketing, logistics).
- Well-presented and well-spoken with ability and confidence to present Onceit to suppliers.
- Ability to communicate clearly with overseas factories.
- Excellent written and verbal literacy, high level of communication.
